Town Board Approved Meeting Minutes- December 19, 2005
Chairman Viney called the meeting to order. Present were: Fox, Viney, Hamilton, Towns, Sanderson, Sweeney, Jeske, Bill Harper/Lieutenant from the Rock County Sheriff’s Department & 2 residents.
Minutes: The November 15, 2005 minutes were read. Corrections were: The township will need to name a minimum of one agricultual zone for livestock facility siting. Fox moved, Hamilton seconded to accept the corrected minutes. Passed.
Receipts & Expenditures: The November 2005 receipts (8246-8248) and the December 2005 expenditures (checks #7428-7462) were reviewed. Hamilton moved, Fox seconded to hold check # 7436 for winter road maintenance until the town is credited $10,000 from the highway department. Hamilton moved, Fox seconded to approve the remaining receipts & expenditures. Passed.
Treasurers Report: Sanderson reported the account activity as of November 30, 2005. Checking Acct: $76,419.71; Outstanding checks: $148.00; Local Government Investment Pool: $58,336.96. Fox moved, Hamilton seconded to approve the treasurers report. Passed.
Fire District Updates: Evansville: Hamilton reported that the user fee will increase to $500 on January 1, 2006. Fox moved, Viney seconded to name Phil Hamilton as the represenatative to attend the Evansville Fire District meetings. Passed. Edgerton: Viney reported that the fire dept., ambulance, schools & US Cellular are working on agreement to use one band for safety issues.
Highways: Hamilton moved, Fox seconded to accept the Rock County Local Road Maintenance Agreement at $2,075/center line mile. Passed. Al Sweeney is running for the County Board, for the retiring Richard Towns.
Lieutenenat Bill Harper from the Rock County Sherriff’s Dept. would like to attend 2 meetings a year. It was stated that speeding was an issue areound 6 a.m. on Tolles Rd, North of Bullard Rd. Lt. Harper will request more patrol of that area. Hamilton moved, Fox seconded to accept the Evansville Ambulance Contract at the $10/resident assessment. Passed.
Recycling Center: Nothing to report.
Building Inspector/Zoning: Jeske reported $520 in permits & applications for the month. George Wollinger-40×50 pole shed- $150; Schumacher/Pohlman-zoning change request- $350; Evansville Snow Devils-town hall rent- $20. Peter Burno has moved some things off his non-compliant land near the Stebbinsville Dam.
Town Hall: Magee Construction is making nice progress on the ramp & bathroom.
Other: Chuc Gillespie is resigning as of January 1, 2006 from his Plan Commission term, whcih expires in April 2007. The Plan Commission will name a new secretary, and the appointment to replace Chuc will be on the January agenda.
Hamilton moved, Fox seconded to adjourn. Passed. The next meeting will be Monday, January 16, 2006 at 7p.m.
