Dave called the meeting to order. Present were: Fox, Viney, Towns, Sanderson, Sweeney, Jeske and 2 residents.
The August 15, 2005 minutes were read. Corrections: The LGIP has a balance of $57,633.81. Jerry moved, Dave seconded to accept the corrected minutes. Passed.
Receipts and Expenditures: The August 2005 receipts (8231-8235) and the September 2005 expenditures (checks#7384-7397) were reviewed. Jerry moved, Dave seconded to approve the receipts and expenditures. Passed
Treasurers Report: Rhoda reported the account activity as of August 31, 2005. Checking Account: $77,951.96; Outstanding checks: $368.55; LGIP: $57,800.32. Jerry moved, Dave seconded to approve the treasurers report. Passed.
Fire District Updates: Evansville: Dave reported that user fees will be reviewed. There will be a possible budget increase. A possible venture with the Evansville Police Dept. is being discussed. Edgerton: There was no change in the budget.
Highways:The Town of Porter has received the State TRIP reimbursement ($21,564.50) for the Riley Road bridge project.
Recycling Center: Ed Julseth collected $671.00 for 5 weeks. Beginning September 24 2005, Ed Miller will be working a full day at the recycling center.
Building Inspector/Zoning: Russell reported $1500 in permits & applications for the month. Jim & George Wollinger, Garage-$200; Richard Mackie, Garden Shed-$50; Karl Trawicki, Deck-$50; Myron Stadt Revocable Trust, CUP-$350; Steve & Susan Scherber, CUP-$350; George Wollinger, House-$500.
Peter Burno was present at the meeting to discuss a time frame to get his property located at 8528 W. Stebbinsville Rd, Edgerton, WI. 53534 into compliance. He stated that he would like to have 3.5 years to clean up the property. He has made some progress, and needs a crane to get the large items removed. He also stated that when the dam is renovated, he would need to bring these items back. Dave stressed that Burno has ignored the non-compliance for years and the Town needs to see action. Jerry moved, Dave seconded that Peter Burno have the non-agricultural items removed from his property located at 8528 W. Stebbinsville Rd., Edgerton, WI. 53534 that is zoned an Agricultural One (A-1) District by Saturday, October 15, 2005, or the Town of Porter will pursue court action. Passed.
Al stated that the Town of Porter’s Smart Growth Plan Map and not the Rock county Farmland Preservation Plan Map would determine rural transition areas.
Town Hall: Attorney Roethe suggest that the Town publish a Class II bid request notice for the Town Hall remodeling project.
Other: Jake Clark will be sending Nancy instructions to maintain the website. Jerry moved, Dave seconded to accept resignation from Ron Arndt’s Supervisor 2 position. Passed. Jerry moved, Dave seconded to appoint Philip Hamilton, as replacement for the Supervisor 2 position. Passed. Jerry moved, Dave seconded to appoint Stanley Vielhuber to the Board of Adjustment to fill Philip Hamilton’s term until April 2006. Passed. Jerry moved, Dave seconded to accept the Coppernoll Assessment Contract. Passed.
Jerry moved, Dave seconded to adjourn. Passed. The next meeting will be Monday, October 17, 2005 at 7:00 p.m.
