TOWN OF PORTER BOARD MEETING MINUTES 7/21/2008

Chairman Viney called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.  Present were Viney, Fox, Hamilton, Towns, Sanderson, Jeske, Sweeney and 1 resident.

 

Minutes:  Viney read the Board meeting minutes from 6/19/2008. Hamilton moved, Fox seconded to approve.  Passed 3-0. 

 

Receipts & Expenditures:  The June 2008 receipts (5920-5928) and the July 2008 expenditures (checks 8102-8124) were reviewed. Fox moved, Hamilton seconded to approve.  Passed 3-0.

 

Treasurers Report:  Sanderson reported the account activity as of June 30, 2008.

Checking Acct:  $3,495.60

Money Market: $84,740.78

LGIP: $38,786.36

Grant Acct: $2,943.01

Working Acct: $1,932.32

 Hamilton moved, Fox seconded to approve.  Passed 3-0.

 

Fire District Updates:  Evansville:  Hamilton reported 2 appeals; one granted, the other postponed.    Edgerton: Viney reported there was settlement with the drivers/dispatchers.  

 

Recycling Center Report: Miller reported $700 taken in.  Tires are still there, Hamilton will inquire about the delay.  A new sign was installed. 

 

Building Inspector/Zoning Report:  Jeske reported $750 in permits and applications for the month.

Glen Froehlich: 10×20 porch: $50

Bill Weisensel: Electric upgrade: $50

Ryan Arndt: Convert garage + add new garage: $400

Richard Miller: Garage attach to house: $150

Gerry Vanthournout: Garage + electric: $100

 

Highways: It will take approximately 40 working days to fix the Caledonia Bridge.  Three trees went down on Casey road, so there was an overtime call.

 

Town Hall:  Troublesome trees will be removed.

 

Other:  Hamilton moved, Fox seconded to approve a fireworks permit for Gary Martin for July 26^th, 2008.  Passed 3-0.

 

Fox moved, Hamilton seconded to adjourn at 7:26pm.  Passed 3-0.
