TOWN OF PORTER BOARD MEETING MINUTES
February 19, 2007 @ 7:00 p.m.
Porter Town Hall
Chairman Viney called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present were: Hamilton, Fox, Viney, Sanderson & Towns. Also present were Sweeney, Jeske, 2 residents & Lt. Harper from the Rock County Sheriff’s Dept.
MINUTES: Viney read the Board Hearing minutes from 1/15/07. Fox moved, Hamilton seconded to approve the minutes. Passed 3-0.
RECEIPT & EXPENDITURES: The January 2007 receipts (8310-8316) and the February 2007 expenditures (7503-7772) were reviewed. Hamilton moved, Fox seconded to approve the receipts & expenditures. Passed 3-0.
TREASURERS REPORT: Sanderson reported the account activity as of January 31, 2007. Checking Acct: $2,204.95; Money Market Acct: $86,678.99; Outstanding Checks: $30,088.50; LGIP: $36,508.29; Tax Acct: $465,017.31 Fox moved, Hamilton seconded to approve the treasurers report. Passed 3-0.
FIRE DISTRICT UPDATES: Evansville: Hamilton reported an appraisal of the current fire building and adjoining lot has been received. It will be added to the March meeting agenda. Edgerton: Viney is now acting chairman for the Edgerton FD.
HIGHWAYS: Rock Road’s extra billing of $16,123.70 was discussed. The town will retain it until further investigation.
RECYCLING CENTER REPORT: Winter hours are in effect.
TOWN HALL: Nothing to report.
BUILDING INSPECTOR/ZONING REPORT: Jeske reported $575 in permits and applications for the month. Lindsay Mosman-driveway: $175; County of Rock-electric upgrade: $50; Charles Schaaf-zoning change application: $350.
Viney will deliver numerous files to Atty. Roethe regarding the P. Burno non-compliance. Fox moved, Hamilton seconded to table the discussion on pursuing damages on the McGuire/Johnson trailer. Passed 3-0.
There was some discussion on the Karin Coppernoll replacement. Other townships have gone with Associated Appraisal of Appleton.
Hamilton moved, Fox seconded to approve the RA Heating Contract for 2007. Passed. 3-0.
Hamilton moved, Fox seconded to purchase a reconditioned Eagle Ballot counter for $995. Passed 3-0.
Fox moved, Hamilton seconded to allow Bergendahl Septic to travel Town roads without restriction. Passed 3-0.
Fox moved, Hamilton seconded to adjourn at 8:01 p.m. Passed 3-0. The next meeting will be March 12, 2007.
